Taj's Tea Parlour Wedding Cocktails

About -

The Produce -

I am passionate about what we do and therefore like to produce food and drinks to the very best standard.

We like to use fresh ingredients which are local and Free range. Plus organic where possible.

With the growning number of people who have gluten issues we are happy to make G.Free goods and I now have a lot of experience in this.

I opened my tea room and then taught myself to bake! All of the cakes that you see photographed on the site I have baked myself!

A little bit of background about me:

Taj's Tea Parlour started 3 years ago when I moved from London to Brighton. Before opening the parlour I had put on lots of events, but this gave me the opportunity to have a semi permanent space.

My background is in costume and fashion. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Costume Interpretation from Wimbledon School of Art. As I have always had a love of art and literature, vintage clothes and items (since childhood) historical content and film this seemed ideal for me. I then went on to work in the film industry for some years as a costume assistant but I always had a yearning to have my own business and so started my lingerie label Bunnies Forever. Along side this my other passion has always been cooking, I also have a love for creating cocktails and putting together beautiful events. Where all creative elements can come together. From the decor to the food and drinks and thus Taj's Tea Parlour was born. A pop up tea room in central Brighton- which was only meant to be open for a couple of months and ended up being open for 1.5years. I taught myself how to bake, quick smart! Once I had the premises this was somewhere that all of my creative loves came together. This was not just a tea room, but we held plenty of events too, from creative workshops, flower workshops, cocktail soirees, supper clubs and lots and lots of lovely vintage high tea hen parties. We even had a wedding reception at the parlour!

Whilst I had the parlour my love for weddings grew and I began to develop this side of the business too.

Weddings are perfect for me to work on, as they incorporate all of my creative loves plus my organistional side.

So now we have moved to the South-West of France and I work on weddings both here and the UK!
